Role

Security Advisory Manager – You will lead a team of security architects, supporting engineers make well‑reasoned, proportionate security decisions without adding unnecessary friction. This is not a policy‑heavy role; it focuses on applying sound judgement to real systems, from greenfield builds to complex legacy environments. You will set the standard for high‑quality security advice, ensuring it’s technically credible, practical and aligned with both engineering realities and our risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of security architects and business partners.
  • Set the direction for Security Advisory and define what “good” looks like.
  • Support complex design reviews, threat modelling and risk assessments.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for challenging security decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with engineering teams as a trusted partner.
  • Influence outcomes through clear reasoning, not authority.
  • Continuously improve how security guidance is delivered at scale.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong background in security architecture or engineering.
  • Experience advising across cloud, infrastructure and application environments.
  • Proven ability to lead or mentor technical security professionals.
  • Sound judgement balancing security risk with real‑world constraints.
  • Confidence working with highly technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate complex trade‑offs clearly and practically.
  • A curious, thoughtful approach to solving hard problems.
