Job Overview

We are expanding our Sales Division in Swindon and need a commercially driven Recruitment Consultant to manage and grow a regional desk in the engineering and manufacturing sector. This role is client‑facing and offers the opportunity to build lasting client relationships, win new business and partner with organisations that sell physical products.

Job Title: Recruitment ConsultantLocation: Swindon, SN1 1GWSalary: Up to £36,000 basic, plus uncapped bonusContract: Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, permanentSpecialism: Sales (Engineering & Manufacturing)Patch: Regional (Berkshire through to Wales – driving essential)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a regional recruitment desk within engineering & manufacturing
  • Build long‑term, trusted relationships with clients who sell products into their markets
  • Win new business and expand existing client relationships through consultative sales
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from briefing through to placement
  • Develop a strong pipeline of high‑quality candidates
  • Collaborate with colleagues across specialties to identify cross‑sell opportunities
  • Deliver market insight and tailored recruitment solutions to clients

About You

  • Experienced 360 recruitment consultants, ideally within engineering, manufacturing or technical sectors; ORB2B Sales / Business Development professionals who have sold products into engineering, manufacturing or FMCG markets and who wish to transition into recruitment
  • Strong commercial awareness and relationship‑building skills
  • Confidence operating in a regional, field‑based role
  • Consultative, professional sales approach
  • Motivation, resilience and ambition to grow a successful desk
  • Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
