Business Intelligence Analyst (Permanent)
Location: Aylesbury
You will be part of the Adults and Health Business Intelligence team, delivering analysis and insight for the Community Safety Partnership in Buckinghamshire, working closely with police, health and fire service partners. You will support delivery of corporate performance reporting, including quality assurance, process improvement and efficient data capture. Your work will involve gathering and organising data from multiple sources, performing analysis, and presenting findings clearly and concisely.
Responsibilities include:
- Research, process and evaluate information and data to support business requirements.
- Identify trends, issues and options, prioritise, and develop conclusions and recommendations that support decision making.
- Work closely with stakeholders to clarify business requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with internal customers, collaborators, external bodies and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of others through knowledge sharing, mentoring and feedback.
Qualifications and skills:
- Experience in data management and data analysis, with knowledge of performance systems.
- Understanding of police or community safety data.
- Strong interpersonal, persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft ecosystem – intermediate Excel, Power BI data modelling.
- Proven ability to engineer end‑to‑end Power BI solutions.
- Robust SQL skills and ability to learn specialist systems quickly.
- Ability to manage conflicting and changing demands under pressure.
- Knowledge of relevant systems, policies, regulations and emerging developments.
- Experience in or with the public sector.
The role operates a hybrid approach; you will be required to work from the Walton Street, Aylesbury office at least two days per week, with an ‘any‑desk’ policy allowing flexibility.
Thames Valley Police vetting is likely to be required to access police data.
