Group Purchasing Manager – UK
We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Purchasing Manager-UK role in a Motor Vehicle Manufacturing company based in Manchester.
The firm is a market leader in automotive safety and security, specialising in procurement, sale, and in-vehicle technology installation.
The ideal applicant for this position will be a skilled negotiator with experience sourcing security equipment from Chinese and Far Eastern vendors.
Qualifications and Requirements
- CIPS or an equivalent qualification.
- Excellent procurement and contract management skills with at least 3 years of experience.
- Excellent understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
- Must be based in Manchester.
- Knowledge in the manufacturing industry, particularly telematics, is preferred.
- Experience sourcing security equipment from Chinese and Far Eastern vendors.
- Have a can-do attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to organise, plan, and manage critical activities.
- Excellent negotiating abilities and a keen understanding of the business environment.
- A highly motivated and determined individual with a strong analytical approach and a desire to advance.
- Qualification in PRINCE2 Project Management is preferred but not necessary.
