Job Description:

Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Group Director of Business Development to lead growth initiatives in the U.S. This U.S. hybrid role will report to the Head of Business Strategy and Growth and focus on driving high‑impact pitches, organic growth opportunities, and capability expansion across the healthcare portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and elevate the pitch process, ensuring responses are integrated, compelling, and aligned with agency strengths.
  • Drive cross‑enterprise business development efforts in coordination with capabilities and global markets.
  • Lead a matrixed team across markets and capabilities to uplevel performance and execute outsized results.
  • Develop content, tools, and scalable processes in partnership with corporate and capability teams.
  • Partner with Client Leads, Growth Leaders, and cross‑functional teams to support key parts of the pitch process from RFI/RFP through final presentation.
  • Partner with leadership on implementation and rollout of new business development processes, tools, and capability models.
  • Connect capabilities and teams across U.S. and global efforts to ensure integrated, cohesive, and differentiated points of view.
  • Translate client briefs into strategic frameworks and pitch narratives aligned with client needs and Real Chemistry capabilities.
  • Prioritize business development and RFx efforts and responses.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and workflows across multiple workstreams.
  • Keep senior stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and resource needs.
  • Support the development of pitch materials including proposals, decks, videos, and presentations.
  • Drive post‑pitch debriefs and capture learnings to strengthen future processes.
  • Contribute to tracking win rates, performance trends, and pitch learnings.
  • Lead hybrid team management and development, including mentoring, capability uplift, performance support, and cross‑functional alignment.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years in an advertising, communications, or integrated marketing agency environment, ideally with healthcare experience.
  • Strong network and aptitude for net‑new lead and opportunity generation.
  • Ability to navigate across complex hybrid organizations and markets to coordinate business development efforts.
  • Experience leading successful pitches in a fast‑paced agency setting.
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of integrated marketing, communications, medical, and activation.
  • Deep healthcare industry experience across biopharma, systems, device, and wellness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working across disciplines.
  • Highly organized and calm under pressure, with the ability to manage multiple high‑stakes projects.
  • Familiarity with new business reporting or performance‑tracking tools.
  • Understanding of healthcare industry trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Demonstrated experience in hybrid team leadership, capability development, and organizational implementation.
  • Experience partnering with executive leaders to drive enterprise growth initiatives.

Pay Range: $215,000 – $235,000K
