On-Call:Available roughly one week per month, with an additional £140/week payment We are representing a client seeking an experiencedMechanical Engineerwith a plumbing bias to join their team at a large, multi-building site. If youre an experienced engineer with a strong background in plumbing and HVAC systems and enjoy working in a customer-facing role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Practical, hands-on mechanical engineer with a strong plumbing background. Responsibilities include a mix of planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and statutory compliance tasks (where trained). No company vehicle provided; a full UK driving licence is required for onsite use and occasional parts collection. On-call one week per month, with additional weekly payment. Perform planned preventative maintenance for mechanical and HVAC systems. Respond promptly to reactive maintenance tasks and resolve issues efficiently. emergency lighting, fire dampers). Proven experience in a site-based role, managing maintenance across multiple buildings. NVQ Level 2 Plumbing or equivalent qualification. Strong experience maintaining HVAC systems. Knowledge of Legionella control, ACOP L8, and water hygiene regulations. Full UK driving licence. Gas Safe registered (preferred but not essential). Legionella awareness training (City & Guilds or equivalent). Experience with TMV maintenance, dead-leg identification, and water sampling. CSCS or other relevant safety certification. Competitive salary in the region of £40,000£45,000 (higher salary available for candidates with gas qualifications).~ Mobile phone and tablet provided.~24 days annual leave plus bank holidays.~ Company pension scheme.~ Optional on-call allowance of £140 per week.
