Investment Analyst
Location: London. Position: Full time, permanent.
Responsibilities
- Provide implementation and delivery capability for daily execution, regulatory compliance and portfolio monitoring.
- Regulatory Reporting: Produce regular reporting of investment holdings, look‑through, derivatives positions, realised and unrealised returns to support Lloyd’s, Solvency II, ALM and stress‑testing reporting.
- Internal Stakeholder Reporting: Provide accurate, complete and timely information to the Investment Team, Committee and Board. Maintain reporting packs with performance, attribution, risk dashboards, breach monitoring, liquidity analytics and ESG metrics, and develop dashboards and data‑visualisation tools.
- Operational Support: Implement day‑to‑day asset movements, disciplined cash‑flow management and forecasting; perform reconciliations with custodians and systems; act as point of contact for technical issues with custodians, managers and service providers.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure portfolios and mandates remain within control ranges, risk and liquidity appetites, and enable independent monitoring and challenge of external investment managers to ensure full compliance with internal policies and Lloyd’s standards.
Qualifications
- Background in an analytical role within financial services, preferably in insurance, with familiarity of Lloyd’s and Solvency II reporting.
- Familiarity with risk models, preferably Aladdin and/or Bloomberg PORT.
- Strong SQL, Python, Power BI and Excel skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics or Economics. Progress toward CFA or IMC is preferred.
