Reactive Working Supervisor – £37,895 per annum

We’re looking for a Reactive Working Supervisor to lead and support our in‑house reactive repairs teams. You’ll help us deliver safe, high‑quality, customer‑focused repairs across our homes. In this role you will supervise a team of skilled trade operatives, ensuring work is completed right‑first‑time, within target timescales, and in full compliance with health & safety and CDM regulations. You will balance hands‑on support with effective supervision, carry out quality inspections, monitor performance against KPIs, and play a key role in developing and motivating your team. What You’ll Do

As a Reactive Working Supervisor you will:

  • Supervise the reactive repairs teams to deliver high quality, safe and compliant services across Taff’s properties.
  • Ensure effective management of in‑house reactive works against departmental KPIs with a focus on building a culture of right‑first‑time.
  • Ensure that all works are completed to required standards, within target timescales and in line with health & safety and CDM regulations.
  • Act as a role model, promoting continuous improvement and collaborative working to enhance services for our customers.
  • Work flexibly, with two days dedicated to supervision and three days supporting the team, subject to business needs.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • City and Guilds/NVQ level 3 in a building trade.
  • Experience in maintenance background with knowledge of building construction and planned maintenance.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS or equivalent or working towards.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations such as CDM and WHQS.
  • Strong understanding of H&S requirements including conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Effective customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and programme work to meet targets and deadlines.
  • An effective team player who can respond quickly to changing demands and conditions.
  • Full UK driving licence.
