Trade Support Engineer | Crypto Hedgefund

Comp: £50,000 – £70,000 basic salary + bonuses

I’m looking for a Trade Support Engineer to join a small, fast-paced team within a crypto hedge fund operating at the cutting edge of quantitative trading. This role sits at the heart of our production trading infrastructure, where you’ll be the first line of defence when things go wrong in live markets, working closely with developers and quants to keep systems running and improving.

About you

• STEM degree or equivalent experience
• Comfortable in Linux and the command line
• Calm under pressure with strong attention to detail
• Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teams
• Familiarity with networking and distributed systems
• Interest in low-latency or real-time trading systems

What you’ll do

• Monitor live trading systems and market connectivity
• Investigate and triage real-time incidents alongside developers and quants
• Build internal tools and dashboards to improve monitoring
• Handle exchange issues, order rejections, latency spikes, and data inconsistencies
• Contribute to post-incident reviews and runbook improvements
