A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Project Director and a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a major commercial construction scheme in the North West. This is a key leadership position overseeing the full project lifecycle from pre‑construction through to handover, ensuring programme, commercial performance, quality, and health & safety objectives are achieved.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record delivering large‑scale commercial projects for recognised main contractors, with strong leadership, client‑facing, and operational management experience. You will be responsible for managing site teams, driving programme performance, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a major commercial construction project
- Manage project teams including Construction Managers, Project Managers, and commercial staff
- Oversee programme, quality, budget, and H&S performance
- Maintain and develop strong client and consultant relationships
- Drive project strategy and operational performance
- Ensure compliance with all contractual and statutory obligations
- Report directly into Regional/Operations Directors
Requirements
- Proven experience operating as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager within a Tier 1 contractor
- Strong commercial build experience on projects of significant value
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Stable employment history with recognised main contractors
- Ability to lead high‑performing teams and deliver projects successfully from inception to completion
