Moog Aircraft Group is a world leader in flight control systems for commercial and military aircraft. We design and manufacture high‑performance actuation and control solutions that enable safer, more efficient flight. This role is based in Tewkesbury, UK, and reports to the Manager Sr., Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical focal point for engineering programmes, including direct customer engagement.
- Lead and contribute to engineering design, analysis, and development activities.
- Plan, schedule, and deliver engineering work in line with cost, quality, and time constraints.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and technicians.
- Review and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring robust engineering solutions.
- Oversee preparation of engineering documentation including drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and practices.
- Support new product development activities from concept through to introduction.
- Liaise with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and commercial functions.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Senior or lead engineering role within aerospace or another highly regulated industry.
- Strong technical expertise in a relevant discipline such as mechanical, hydraulic systems, actuation, stress, or design.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex engineering programmes.
- Experience acting as a technical authority with customer‑facing responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of new product development lifecycles, from concept to certification and production.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver engineering projects within budget and schedule constraints.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with experience resolving complex technical challenges.Knowledge of aerospace regulations, airworthiness requirements, and certification processes.
- Experience with engineering documentation, including technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
- Familiarity with MRB and Engineering Order processes.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance business needs and engineering integrity.
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience enhancing engineering processes.
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
