About the Role
Fire & Security Engineer – Location: Field‑Based (Midlands) – Hours: Monday to Friday, average of 45 hours per week. We are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our field‑based team.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a service‑led environment
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to provide a full 5‑year employment history, including:
- At least 2 references
- Right to work in the UK
- Credit check clearance
- Relevant industry qualifications (desirable but not essential)
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong technical knowledge of fire and security systems
- Proven experience working in a field‑based role
- Ability to diagnose faults and problem‑solve effectively
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations and industry standards
- Organised, proactive, and able to take ownership of tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and willing to learn internal systems
- Commercial awareness with a focus on customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission high‑quality fire and security systems
- Carry out maintenance and repairs to ensure systems perform at their best
- Deliver excellent customer service on‑site, building strong relationships
- Support the wider operational team in successful service delivery
- Ensure all work meets compliance and safety standards
Compliance & Best Practice
- Adhere to all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Follow internal processes and best practice guidelines
- Support the use of central systems and processes across the business
