About the role

Larkfield and Bedford House are vibrant and welcoming day services based in Ely, Cambridgeshire. We support adults with learning disabilities and older people to live full, meaningful lives – helping them to learn new skills, build confidence and develop and maintain their independence whilst having some fun along the way.

As a Support Worker, youll play a key part in creating a positive, inclusive environment where people feel valued, empowered and supported, helping them to achieve their goals. Whether its leading and running creative activities, encouraging new skills, or supporting someone to engage with their community, youll help make every day purposeful and rewarding.

The successful candidate will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). About you

You will be caring, enthusiastic and ready to make a real difference to peoples lives. You must be passionate about supporting others to thrive.

You will have a commitment to supporting older people and people with disabilities to live independent, fulfilling lives.You will bea great communicator, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships

You will also be a team player who can also use their initiative and adapt to changing situations, but also someone who can be positive and motivated when working alone.

You will have a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and a commitment to further training, and you will also beconfident using IT systems for recording and communication.

You will also be someone able to demonstrate a strong understanding of equality, diversity, inclusion and a person-centred approach, be flexible, reliable and committed to delivering high-quality support.Most importantly, youll bring empathy, positivity and a can-do attitude, because the impact you make every day really matters.
