Overview

Job Description Purpose of the role To support business areas with day‑to‑day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support various business areas with day‑to‑day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations in operational processes.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well‑developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.
  • Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives; appraise performance relative to objectives and determine reward outcomes.
  • Consult on complex issues; provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external, to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information in a clear way.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Lead the trade lifecycle and post‑trade amendments for Equity Derivatives covering Structured Products and Vanilla Options, overseeing risk, process controls and leading process re‑engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical background in Equity Derivatives.
  • Strong Structured and Flow Equity Derivative product knowledge, including trade capture and lifecycle processes.
  • Solid risk and control mindset.
  • Attention to detail with a proactive check and challenge approach.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, especially with senior audiences in control forums.
  • Experience with automation, AI, change management and process optimization.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

This role will be based in London.
