Job Description Purpose of the role To support business areas with day‑to‑day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support various business areas with day‑to‑day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
- Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations in operational processes.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Develop reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
- Participate in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well‑developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.
- Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives; appraise performance relative to objectives and determine reward outcomes.
- Consult on complex issues; provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
- Collaborate with other areas of work to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external, to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Communicate complex information in a clear way.
- Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Lead the trade lifecycle and post‑trade amendments for Equity Derivatives covering Structured Products and Vanilla Options, overseeing risk, process controls and leading process re‑engineering initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong technical background in Equity Derivatives.
- Strong Structured and Flow Equity Derivative product knowledge, including trade capture and lifecycle processes.
- Solid risk and control mindset.
- Attention to detail with a proactive check and challenge approach.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, especially with senior audiences in control forums.
- Experience with automation, AI, change management and process optimization.
- Advanced Excel skills.
This role will be based in London.
