About the role

Were recruiting a fulltime Team Manager for our Disabled Childrens Referral and Access Team. If youre ready to make a real difference, we want to hear from you.
You will work alongside the Children with Disabilities Teams (0-18) and the Young Adults Team (18-25). You will also work closely with our in-house providers of short breaks, health and education professionals and a range of private and voluntary organisations.
We pride ourselves on providing our Social Workers and alternatively qualified staff with a friendly, safe and supportive environment to work. As a Team Manager in the Disabled Childrens Referral & Access Team you will be vital in providing this.
Practitioners in the Disabled Childrens Referral and Access Team really enjoy working in the team. They have said we are supported by senior managers, everyone is so approachable, this is the best team ever. Come and join the team to see what working here is all about.
You will be working 37 hours a week. This post will primarily be based out of Scott House in Huntingdon, but with the ability to work from home as part of a hybrid model.

About you
You will enjoy building relationships and work with us to support the most vulnerable children and young people in our county. Experience of partnership working is essential, as well as experience of delegating tasks and the ability to lead, develop and motivate a team.
You will be able to thrive in a fastpaced and busy environment, demonstrating resilience, good judgement and strong organisational skills.
You will also bring a solid understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), as well as proven safeguarding experience.
You must:
- Be a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration
- Be able to demonstrate an understanding of SEND legislation and processes
- Have knowledge of statutory requirements and safeguarding
- Have had supervisory experience
