Job Overview
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate a strong ability to build trusting and effective relationships with Senior Managers, Staff Side (Trade Union) colleagues and other key stakeholders to resolve issues and drive forward change. The role involves overseeing and resolving a wide range and high volume of employee relations cases within the Trust’s Operational HR department, providing generalist HR support to Care Group and Corporate Directorates.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and resolve a wide range and high volume of employee relations cases.
- Work with and manage members of the HR Advisory team.
- Provide HR advice on organisational change.
- Deliver a comprehensive, proactive and professional operational HR service.
- Develop manager capabilities to embed a Just Culture approach.
- Support senior managers to drive change and challenge established thinking.
- Manage and deliver HR service across all Trust sites.
Qualifications and Profile
- Strong ability to build trusting and effective relationships with senior managers, staff‑side (trade union) colleagues and other key stakeholders.
- CIPD chartered membership or actively studying towards this.
- Experience in employee relations.
- Aspiring professional who is ambitious, flexible and a creative thinker.
- Ability to embed a Just Culture approach.
Working Conditions
The role can be based at either the York or Scarborough site, with a requirement to work across any Trust site and attend face‑to‑face meetings as required. The position is based primarily on working from home on a regular basis, but may include occasional in‑office meetings.
