Commercial Finance Director

Seeking an Interim Divisional Finance Director within the B2B Services Sector, managing a £500m semi-autonomous division.

The role of Commercial Finance Director will develop the business plan with other functional heads within the division, ensuring it is aligned to the Group’s strategic objectives. Take ownership, and ultimately the delivery, of the budget and forecast for the division, ensuring it is accurate and well managed.

What You’ll Be Responsible for:

• Setting financial direction, planning ahead, and helping leadership make informed decisions.
• Improving the quality, speed, and clarity of financial information for the Divisional Board.
• Getting under the skin of revenue and margin drivers, spotting trends, and challenging where needed.
• Keeping a firm grip on cash flow, forecasting and ensuring the business remains on strong financial footing.
• Supporting commercial teams on bids, pricing, contracts, and operational performance.
• Strengthening processes, controls, and systems as the business continues to grow.
• Leading, coaching, and developing the finance team into a confident, high-performing division.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has operated at Finance Director Level for several years, from a Business Services (B2B / Contracts).
• Brings broad commercial and strategic finance experience, not just technical excellence.
• Enjoys working closely with Senior Stakeholders (MD’s, Board), operators and leadership teams.
• Has an interest in innovation, growth businesses and creating an immediate impact.
