Main duties and responsibilities

Faculty / Directorate

Apprenticeship and Technical Education Services is based in Registry Services. The Service is responsible for the operational delivery of higher and degree apprenticeships, HTQ and 16 19 Funded Programmes, whilst ensuring that the University meets the compliance requirements.

The postholder will undertake standard administrative processes, supporting operational and compliance activities associated with apprenticeships, foundation diplomas, higher technical qualifications, and 16 to 19 funded programmes.

Assist in the preparation and monitoring of learner records, including evidence packs, data in the Universitys student record systems (including SAP, Maytas and other systems in use), liaising with colleagues internally and externally to the Service to ensure that changes are recorded in a timely manner.

Provide administrative support for key activities such as Assessment Boards, onboarding, attendance monitoring and monitoring of functional skills, also support to committees including preparing materials and taking minutes.

Respond to enquiries and queries from new and existing employers and apprentices, in order to understand and resolve all problems and enquiries satisfactorily providing high quality responses in line with universitys practice and procedure.

Ideal Candidate will be able to:

  • Work in an administrative environment, providing a high level of customer service
  • Collect, collate, organise and log data records with a high level of accuracy
  • Work on a number of activities concurrently, prioritise own workload, and identify and escalate issues as required
  • Work effectively as a member of a team
  • Use interpersonal skills and have the ability to quickly build strong relationships with all stakeholders.
