Job Description:

Sales Director, New Business (UK Healthcare)

As a Sales Director, New Business (UK Healthcare), you will drive growth by creating new opportunities, building a strong, qualified pipeline, and closing complex enterprise deals with NHS organisations. In this role, you will position our automation and AI solutions with senior stakeholders across the NHS and be responsible for acquiring new logos.

Please note – this is primarily a remote (UK based) role, but regular travel to customer sites and in-person team events is expected. Occasional international travel within Europe may also be required.

What You Will Do

  • Originate new opportunities: identify and engage NHS organisations including Trusts, ICBs, Cancer Alliances, and national bodies through cold outreach. Position automation use cases around productivity, CIP delivery, workforce optimisation, elective recovery, and pathway transformation.
  • Develop strategic relationships at executive level: build strong relationships with C-level NHS stakeholders and Transformation/Programme Directors, focusing on how Digital Workforce can solve their biggest challenges through automation and AI.
  • Progress early-stage engagements: drive already engaged leads into a qualified pipeline through warm outreach.
  • Lead end‑to‑end sales cycles: take full ownership of end‑to‑end sales cycles from first engagement to contract signature. Identify customer needs, shape opportunities, secure funding, and close new logo sales. Work closely with the commercial team, who will support the identification and selection of use cases, build proposals, write business cases, and lead contract work.
  • Create market presence: build credibility within the NHS ecosystem through networks, events, and referrals, and position Digital Workforce as the strategic automation and AI partner to the NHS.
  • Build and maintain pipeline: generate a high-quality pipeline aligned to growth targets and take full ownership of forecasting, qualification, deal progression, and conversion.

What We Offer

  • A chance to join a market‑leading, enterprise‑grade automation and AI provider with a strong growth trajectory.
  • An opportunity to play a key role in the fast‑paced, high‑performing UK healthcare team at the core of the company’s strategy.
  • The ability to drive meaningful transformation across the NHS through automation and AI.
  • An international work environment and collaborative culture.
  • Encouragement for learning and self‑development.

Qualifications and Criteria

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience selling into the NHS (ideally 5+), with a proven track record of closing new logo sales.
  • Ability to build pipeline independently and close complex multi‑stakeholder deals.
  • Deep understanding of Trust structures, ICBs, and the NHS funding and priority landscape.
  • A strong existing network across NHS Trusts, ICBs, and NHS Bodies.
  • Experience in automation, AI, digital transformation, enterprise SaaS, or consulting services is highly valued.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Autonomy, discipline, and ownership in managing sales cycles.

Compensation

OTE Range: £180k – £210k per annum.
