Job Description:

The role of Production Manager is to provide comprehensive production management support to the account management teams and the senior production team.

Responsibilities

  • Work effectively with all Account teams, responding as appropriate to new production requirements, update requests and production tracking about projects in production.
  • Check, process and track via scheduling software the production of projects, ensuring that they are produced to the correct timeframes and requirements.
  • Collate and provide detailed updates on all items in production from the production management team, bringing this detail to the daily production meetings.
  • Be point of contact for production floor for initial enquiries and questions on production requirements.
  • Running the twice daily production meetings to agreed agenda, identifying pinch points, issues and resolutions.
  • Setting up pre‑production meetings for key projects, ensuring that the correct departments are involved, production methods are efficient, and materials are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Proactively monitor the quality of production output supplied by the production facility, ensuring the quality is kept to a high standard and all elements are produced and collated to the specifics of the job bag and project requirements.
  • To manage the production process from “go live” to delivery, including specification, planning, scheduling and trafficking.
  • Advising Business Development and Account Managers on best methods and materials for production for briefing process.
  • Quality checks on final products prior to dispatch.
  • Liaising and working with Logistics teams for timely and cost‑effective dispatch.
  • Completion and maintenance of project specific information, including raising of NCR’s, investigating and implementation of rectification to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Tracking and reporting time against projects.

Qualifications

  • Planning & organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Experience working in planning and scheduling of large format graphics production.
  • Passionate about servicing clients internal and external.
  • Great attention to detail, along with fantastic communication skills – verbal, written and presentational.
  • Experience of print and finishing production techniques of large format graphics.
  • Competency at all Microsoft Office packages, as well as good all round computer skills (training provided for MIS system).
  • Ability to prioritise and think logically and methodically.
  • Note: owing to the nature of event delivery, there may be some unsociable working hours on occasion, including weekend work, to accommodate the delivery of projects.
