Director, Distribution and Funder Engagement, Speciality Finance

Location: London, United Kingdom (Kings Cross)

Liberty Blume Speciality Finance (LBSF) offers a varied product range ranging from core Supply Chain Finance and Securitisation to products in development such as inventory finance, portfolio receivables financing, trade advance, leasing, and asset‑as‑service. The role focuses on sourcing and engaging funders and partners to support transaction growth across the company’s portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Originise discussions and drive partnership development by contacting relevant industry players using personal networks, existing LBSF and Liberty Global funder relationships, and identifying reverse inquiries.
  • Act as the key point of contact for these organisations, representing LBSF to advance the growth agenda.
  • Provide meaningful insight into funding opportunities and advise the team on risk‑return profiles for various investors, noting how targets evolve over time.
  • Pitch opportunities to funders in partnership with origination and product colleagues, navigating specific requirements or requests to shape deals that suit their needs.
  • Identify appropriate new funders for existing third‑party transactions to enable growth at favourable terms.
  • Provide market intelligence on working‑capital financing players, new entrants (particularly non‑banks), and structural or strategic changes among providers that could affect client availability or portfolio acquisition.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Relevant years of experience in Structured Finance, Corporate Finance, and Transactional Banking.
  • Experience in working‑capital financing distribution.
  • Existing relationships with a wide array of funders, including a significant number of suitable non‑bank investors.
  • Knowledge of working‑capital market intelligence.
  • Prior experience in the wider structured finance arena is an advantage.

Skills & Abilities

  • Effective communication with potential funders and partners (internal and external).
  • Ability to evaluate funder needs and source relevant opportunities.
  • Facilitate introductions and oversee discussions from initial meetings through to the sales process and deal closure.
