Real Chemistry is a global agency dedicated to transforming healthcare communication and marketing. Our German team in Munich seeks a PR/Communications Group Account Director to shape our integrated communications offerings and expand our presence across the European and German markets. Responsibilities
- Lead multiple client projects of varying scope in a dynamic environment.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent stakeholder management.
- Switch flexibly between strategic development, ad‑hoc consulting, and operational implementation of related initiatives.
- Advise clients on integrated marketing and communication decisions, identify new opportunities to increase brand awareness, including consultative sales.
- Develop compelling communication plans on yearly, quarterly or other schedules.
- Operate and be responsible for the financial performance of projects through staff and budget management.
- Ensure highest quality standards in the account team and timely handling of all client inquiries.
- Partner with shared‑service leads to grow the integrated business (social media/digital, creation, analytics).
- Identify, lead and support new business development opportunities.
- Directly manage account staff and foster continuous learning to create a high‑performance corporate culture.
- Travel internationally for client meetings and conferences as required.
Qualifications
- Experience within the healthcare communications ecosystem (agency or in‑house).
- Experience managing healthcare communication projects at both local German and global/regional levels.
- Experience in strategy development and implementation of global programmes and their local roll‑out in Germany.
- Strong knowledge of German regulatory requirements.
- Excellent business communication skills in English and German (business‑level proficiency). Presentation and writing skills; confident in internal and external discussions with clients, suppliers and partners.
- Ability to collaborate and lead cross‑functional teams at various locations.
- Experience developing multi‑channel, cross‑market strategies and campaigns to achieve business goals.
- Experience working with analyst teams to identify key client KPIs, develop measurement and learning plans, and uncover improvement opportunities.
- Ability to translate complex scientific content of clinical studies or products into audience‑appropriate messaging.
- Ability to independently and collaboratively support and drive new business areas.
- Experience in annual planning, resource planning and forecasting.
- Professional demeanour, high commitment and customer‑orientated work.
- Project management experience, proven ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and manage detailed budgets.
- Comfortable in informing supervisors of non‑compliance or potential problems.
- Leadership ability to coach and develop junior staff and work effectively with subcontractors.
- Advanced knowledge of social media.
