Were looking for an exceptional Head of Service Delivery – DLO to lead the transformation of our Midlands Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) service.

This is more than operational delivery. Its an opportunity to reshape a critical frontline service, driving commercial performance, operational excellence and cultural change across responsive repairs, damp and mould remediation, and planned service improvement.

Youll bring a strong commercial mindset, proven experience leading large scale operational transformation, and the ability to challenge traditional ways of working to deliver smarter, leaner and more customer focused services.

This is a high profile leadership role where youll influence strategic direction, improve performance, embed accountability, and create a high performing service built around safety, compliance, value for money and exceptional resident outcomes.

What youll be doing

  • Lead transformation across the Midlands DLO service, driving operational redesign and continuous improvement
  • Deliver high-quality responsive repairs and damp & mould services safely, efficiently and compliantly
  • Review service performance, identify root causes and implement commercially focused improvements
  • Drive productivity, cost control and resource optimisation to maximise value for money
  • Build a strong performance culture with clear accountability and visible leadership
  • Improve customer satisfaction and ensure resident experience reaches top quartile performance
  • Lead operational change, embedding innovation and modern working practices
  • Manage budgets, forecasting and commercial decision making at scale
  • Influence senior stakeholders, EMT and Board through data led insight and strategic recommendations
  • Build collaborative partnerships across internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders

What were looking for

  • Significant senior leadership experience in repairs, maintenance or DLO transformation
  • A strong commercial and operational background, ideally gained in a customer facing environment
  • Proven success delivering service redesign, turnaround or large scale operational improvement
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving efficiency
  • Experience leading teams through change and creating high performance cultures
  • Excellent stakeholder influencing and strategic decision making capability
  • Deep knowledge of repairs compliance, building safety and regulatory standards
