Who are we looking for
The Markets Business Risk Advisor, GlobalLINK, Vice President will serve as a Business Risk and Control leader supporting GlobalLINK activities globally. GlobalLINK is State Street’s technology‑led electronic trading business, delivering secure, scalable multi‑asset trading platforms, analytics, and API‑driven connectivity to institutional clients globally. The business operates multi‑counterparty platforms across the trade lifecycle, underpinned by strong governance, controls, and regulatory‑aligned risk management to protect client data and ensure operational resilience. The Vice President will act as a trusted advisor to the business, balancing commercial objectives with disciplined risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational resiliency. He/she will partner across first, second and third line stakeholder groups to enhance regulatory compliance, risk, control and operational management capabilities, improve the efficacy of the control environment, and better respond to regulatory requirements/guidance through the implementation of compliant solutions.
What you will be responsible for
- Risk Management & Control Oversight: Manage and support GlobalLink risk management programs, including product risk assessments, issue and incident management, and ongoing control monitoring.
- Serve as a trusted partner to GlobalLink business teams and second‑ and third‑line stakeholders to establish and maintain an effective control environment, including control inventory management, control effectiveness assessments, issue documentation and remediation, and operational incident oversight.
- Establish, monitor, and report KRIs to relevant governance forums, escalating risks and issues as appropriate.
- Change, Technology & New Initiatives Advisory: Support technology change initiatives by challenging the business on appropriate control design and operating procedures, and ensuring alignment with State‑Street technology, security, and risk frameworks.
- Lead risk input and challenge into new product approvals, business expansions, and strategic change initiatives to ensure technology, operational and regulatory risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated early in the lifecycle.
- Policy, Standards & Governance: Lead the assessment, implementation, and ongoing adherence to standards, policies, and guidelines prescribed by corporate functions and business partners, including Global Technology Services, Global Cyber Security, Enterprise Risk Management, and Compliance.
- Drive consistent application of governance expectations across the business and support remediation where gaps are identified.
- Regulatory, Audit & Assurance Engagement: Coordinate and support regulatory examinations, internal and external audit reviews (e.g., SOC2), and other assurance activities, acting as a key liaison between the business and oversight functions; track and support remediation of findings arising from regulatory, audit, or assurance reviews.
- Training & Risk Culture: Develop and deliver risk and control training for the business to promote awareness, accountability, and a strong first‑line risk culture.
What we value
- Background in Business Risk Management, Technology Risk, or Audit supporting technology driven businesses.
- Exposure to regulated electronic trading platforms, or multi‑asset trading environments.
- Experience partnering with technology teams on control design and system change initiatives.
- Strong organizational awareness with ability to facilitate and resolve conflicts; ability to make informed, risk‑optimised decisions under time pressure.
- Attention to detail and a propensity to drive issues toward resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
A minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent with significant market experience.
