About the role

We are looking for a part time (22.5 hours) Business Officer to join our busy team providing administration support to the Learning Disability Partnership in Adult Social Care. This will be a Countywide role based in the St Ives area.

This is a varied role and you will be doing tasks such as:

  • Electronic correspondence and communications in a variety of forms
  • Taking telephone calls from service providers, service users and families
  • Taking minutes at multi-disciplinary team meetings
  • Preparing agendas for meetings and the distribution of minutes thereafter
  • Some processing and raising of invoices and recording spend on Excel spreadsheets
  • Updating adult records on the internal system
  • Working alongside and supporting Social Workers and Team Managers

About you

You will have good administration skills and the ability to prioritise, as this can be a fast-paced role often with deadlines. You will have excellent customer service and communication skills.

You will be expected to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team and be able to stay calm under pressure.

You should have a methodical and concise approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. You will need a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft packages (Word and Excel) and be able to use databases.

However, please note, you do not need to meet all the essential criteria to be able to apply, we are looking for enthusiastic people who are keen to learn.

Do you have the following:

Essential – General Education to GCSE standard with an A-C grade in English & Maths or equivalent standard

Desirable – CLAIT/IBT2/RSA/ECDL

Desirable – NVQ/or other qualification in Business Administration

Are you able to travel across the areas of City, South and East Cambridgeshire District?
