Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Contract Lawyer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating service provider engagement letters relating to Blackstone’s European Real Estate transactions. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires strong commercial insight and legal expertise. The ideal candidate will be ready to step in and make an immediate impact, bringing both confidence and efficiency to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating service provider engagement letters across Blackstone’s European Real Estate transactions
  • Review service providers’ contract terms in alignment with Blackstone’s policies, legal standards and commercial instructions
  • Ensure negotiated terms are accurately documented in all service provider engagement letters and any deviations from agreed terms are documented and approved
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure contract execution
  • Understand and follow instructions, processes and procedures adopted by the team and the business
  • Assist with the maintenance, negotiation and update of service provider’s templates

Requirements

  • Law degree with 5 years+ PQE
  • Proven experience in managing high volumes of commercial contracts
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial contracts, in particular broker agreements provisions, calculations and fee structure
  • Excellent contract management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of GDPR
