KO2’s client, a rapidly expanding and innovative start-up based in the Stroud area, is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong expertise in wireless mesh, LoRaWAN, and RF technologies to join their growing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for wireless and IoT productsDevelop and optimise wireless mesh networking, LoRaWAN, and other RF communication protocolsWork closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration with embedded platformsDebug, test, and validate RF and embedded systems in both lab and field environmentsContribute to system architecture, protocol selection, and technical strategySupport full product lifecycle from concept through to production and deploymentRequired Skills & Experience
Strong experience in embedded C/C++ developmentProven experience with wireless mesh technologies (e.g., Zigbee, Thread, BLE Mesh)Hands-on experience with LoRaWAN and low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) systemsSolid understanding of RF protocols and wireless communication fundamentalsExperience working with low-power embedded systems and RTOSFamiliarity with debugging tools and hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and within a teamDesirable Skills
Experience developing IoT or connected devicesKnowledge of RF design considerations and antenna performanceUnderstanding of wireless xwzovoh security and encryption protocolsExposure to cloud platforms and edge computingWhat’s on Offer
