Click here to read about Colleague Networks – internal groups where colleagues and their allies can share their own experiences, offer feedback on the way we do things at Greggs, and provide support to one another About the role This is a full-time roleThe base location for this role is our Smartparc, Derby, DE21 What you’ll do Provide hands-on, site-based support to implement the SHE Management System and Greggs standardsWork closely with the Regional SHE Manager and site leadership teams to support effective delivery of SHE requirements at site levelComplete planned and ad-hoc site walkabouts, inspections and audits, recording clear, factual evidence and identifying compliance gapsSupport site teams with risk assessments and safe systems of work, ensuring controls are understood, applied and embedded in day-to-day operationsProvide practical, proportionate SHE advice to support effective operational control and legal complianceSupport the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses, contributing to root cause analysis and shared learningAssist with the tracking and closure of SHE actions, ensuring issues are addressed within agreed timescalesMaintain accurate electronic SHE records and supporting evidence in line with company and regulatory requirementsCoach and support managers and teams to help build a positive, compliance-led SHE cultureContribute to continuous improvement in SHE performance through engagement, assurance activity and feedback from site operations About you You’ll fit right into this role if you:Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate or other recognised general safety qualification (or demonstrate a clear commitment to working towards one)Demonstrate experience of environmental management activities, such as waste, water and energy managementHave experience of auditing and inspection activity within an operational or site‑based environmentBring an engineering or machinery‑based background, with a strong understanding of plant, equipment and controlsApply fire safety knowledge and/or relevant fire safety qualificationsWork effectively as part of a team, building strong working relationships at all levelsCommunicate confidently, with excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to influence and engage othersManage your workload effectively, using strong organisational skills to plan, prioritise and handle multiple tasks at paceAre supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is goodWant to develop and are ready to work alongside some great people and have lots of fun on your Greggs journey!
