TheEstimator role
Working as a keymember within tender teams, the successful candidate will beresponsible for tender enquiry documentation, pricing of bills ofquantities including build costs, preliminaries and fees whilstinvestigating and price Value Engineering cost savings.
You will co-ordinate all aspects of the tenderprocess, including the preparation and presentation of;
- tender analyses,
- detailedproject risk analysis schedules,
- researchingand understanding current market prices for subcontractors andmaterials,
- Analysis of subcontractor tenderreturns and production of subcontractor work packagecomparisons
- Measurement and production ofmeasured quantities from drawings or BIM models for incorporationin tender enquiries
Yourprofile
The successful candidatewill be able to demonstrate:
- Degree,HND or NVQ equivalent
- Relevant experience in asimilar role as an Estimator with responsibility to lead anddeliver the commercial element of the tender process
- A considered approach to chairing meetings and adeveloped interview technique – for discussions /negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
- Ability to use Conquest Subcontractordatabase
- Background in tenderingfor Traditional Projects (BoQ & Spec & Drawings, as well asD&B)
- Familiarity with NEC, JCT & CMmodels
- Familiarity with pricing HeritageWorks
- Wide range of project values, say£5>100m
