We have an opportunity for a Works Supervisor tojoin our team on The M6 Routine Operation & Maintenance projectbased near Lockerbie. As a Major Maintenance Supervisor you will bea member of the contract team reporting to the Major MaintenanceManager
This positionis offered on a Fixed Term Contract until late2027.

What will your responsibilitiesbe?
Responsiblefor organisation and coordination of all logistical operations andprocedures for several major maintenance contracts, to ensureorganisational effectiveness, efficiency and safety of thecontract.
Responsiblefor liaison with Autolink and outside organisations for majormaintenance contracts, including assisting with structuresinspections, maintenance and upgrade schemes. This will involve themanagement and supervision of various works packages based onproject requirements, which may involve nightshift and / or weekendworks.
- Carry out site reviews ofMajor Maintenance Scope of Works prior to packagescommencing.
- Ensure that subcontractorsprovide proof of up to date, relevant CSCS cards and that all plantoperatives have up to date, relevant CPCS cards appropriate to theplant used on site.
- ImplementITPs, ensuring that all checks are completed on works &hold points & check points are adhered to. All checklists willbe signed off by subcontractors & SRM as work progresses. Afinal check will be completed prior to issue of the checklist toAutolink.
- Ensure you are familiar with the scopeof works for each package & actively participate in start-up& progress meetings.
- Ensure allsubcontractors are managed in line with CMS requirements, minutesof all meetings are recorded timeously in Pdrive & allsubsequent resulting actions are completedtimeously.
- Assist in liaising with theEmployer’s Agent, Statutory Undertakers, Emergency Services,Employer’s Specialists, SEPA and other interested Third Parties andidentify any attendance or works that may arise from suchliaison.
- Ensure implementation ofCOSHH.
- Maintain driver log books& ensure livery of vehicles is clean and well maintainedat all times.
- It is a core responsibilityof all M6 ROM staff to report any breach of H&S. In the eventof this occurring works must be stopped immediately & thesituation rectified prior to works recommencing. The situation mustbe reported to site management & all relevant paperworkdocumented as per SRM procedures at the earliestopportunity.
What Skills and Knowledge areessential?
- Experience inthe Highways Maintenance Sector and a good understanding of allrelevant processes.
- Goodknowledge of maintenance products, construction details, relevantregulations and quality standards.
- Knowledge ofpackages including Insight, Highstone, IRIS &SMS.
- Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering orHighways related field
- RelevantConstruction Skills Certificate Card
