Full or Part Time Optometrist – Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

We are recruiting a full or part time Optometrist for Monday to Friday commitments. The role involves visiting patients in their own homes, performing full clinical tests, dispensing glasses, and providing empathetic care to elderly and frail patients.

Key responsibilities:

• Travel to patient homes from your postal address and see 6–7 patients per day
• Carry out full clinical examinations using portable digital fundus cameras, mobile slit lamp, I‑care tonometer, and a digital records system
• Consult with the senior optometrist team at the Head Office for second‑opinion support within minutes
• Dispense prescriptions and manage patient‑care documentation

Qualifications & skills:

• Registered optometrist with appropriate qualifications
• Strong empathy, sympathetic approach, and good communication skills
• Ability to travel within the region and manage a daily caseload
• Experience with mobile optometry equipment is a plus
