Geography Teacher – Full‑time, temporary to permanent from September 2026

Duties as Geography Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Teach a broad and balanced Geography curriculum in line with national expectations
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities
• Maintain clear classroom routines and manage behaviour effectively
• Work collaboratively with the humanities department and wider staff team
• Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental development
• Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times

Ideal Geography Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography education
• Confident classroom management and clear communication skills
• Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities
• Willingness to commit to a temporary role with the potential to become permanent
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
