Lead Software Engineer (£750 Inside IR35, Hybrid – London)

A major UK bank requires a Lead Software Engineer to support a major transformation project to rebuild the payment system, replacing their existing enterprise solution. The new product will support a broad range of payment methods and channels across both in‑person and digital environments.

Key Requirements:

• Specific domain expertise in payment gateway systems
• Full Stack – Kotlin (willingness to transition) and React.js
• Solution architecture and design capabilities
• Ability to translate high‑level requirements into structured backlogs
• Team leadership experience
• Up to £750 per day, Inside IR35
• 3 days onsite per week (London)
• Initial term 6 months (subject to extension)
