We’re delighted to be partnering with Everyone Active as they look for a confident and dynamic Internal Communications & Engagement Manager to lead an exciting transformation project that will shape the comms strategy across the group.

With over 16,000 colleagues across 260 sites, this is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver a modern, inclusive communications strategy that truly engages everyone.

You’ll play a pivotal role in the rollout and ongoing evolution of a new internal communications platform, ensuring every colleague feels informed, connected, and valued. There will be an element of travel needed in the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive internal communications and engagement strategy.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing development of the new internal communications app.
  • Work closely with the Project Lead to roll out the platform across all sites and teams.
  • Engage directly with colleagues, from frontline teams to board level, gathering insights and feedback.
  • Facilitate focus groups and site visits to understand communication needs and behaviours.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with senior stakeholders to align messaging and initiatives.
  • Oversee internal communication channels, including colleague newsletters and updates.
  • Drive engagement initiatives such as Colleague Champions and the Bright Ideas scheme.

  • Monitor adoption and usage, aiming for 95% engagement within target timelines.
  • Continuously evolve communication systems and strategies based on feedback and data.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can make an impact from day one—someone who is proactive, confident, and not afraid to challenge and influence.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in internal communications, engagement, or change management roles.
  • Experience developing and delivering internal communications strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Experience working across large, multi-site organisations (public sector experience welcomed).
  • A strong understanding of communications platforms/systems and implementation.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with the confidence to “own” the role and shape its direction.

Experience in the leisure sector is beneficial but not essential.

Why Join Everyone Active?

This is a pivotal time to join the organisation. With a new 5-year plan and a fast-paced, forward-thinking leadership team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how communication and engagement is delivered across the business.

You’ll be at the heart of meaningful change—bringing people together, amplifying voices, and building a stronger, more connected organisation.
