We are seeking an exceptional Director of Group Sales – UK & Europe to join the Group Sales team at our Corporate Office.

As a Director of Group Sales – UK & Europe, you will be an experienced MICE sales professional from the luxury market with established success from the MICE agency and corporate group direct markets. A respected and well established salesperson in this market, you will be proactive at representing Maybourne at industry exhibitions, organising successful domestic and European sales trips and deliver consistent face-to-face selling opportunities both on and off property.

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • To deliver strong group base at the four London hotels throughout the year and support international properties with the right leads for conversion.
  • Ensure Maybourne presence in the MICE market is one of ultra luxury and we are a preferred brand in the market.
  • Work closely with the Group sales team in proactively at securing new MICE group business across all Maybourne properties, with clear ownership of generating an increase in inquiries from agency and corporate direct.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, working towards agreed revenue, pipeline and activity targets.
  • Actively prospect targeted MICE agents, DMCs and corporate clients using structured outbound sales activity, referrals and market intelligence.
  • Increase and protect revenue from the top accounts and increase share from the B performing accounts through creative commercial strategies.
  • Obtain and maintain detailed product knowledge of all accommodation, private events, food & beverage as well as overall offering across the portfolio in order to be versed with building creative Incentive programs.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face and virtual client appointments in line with agreed activity goals (minimum of 8 per week), ensuring detailed follow-up and conversion plans via the effective use of Salesforce.
  • Host and coordinate client show rounds (for your own accounts as well as US counterpart at times of need), familiarisation trips and site inspections, working closely with on-property teams to deliver our purpose of Stories of Distinction.
