Join our Environmental Crime Team as an Enforcement Field Support Officer and play a vital role in tackling fly-tipping and environmental offences across Wiltshire. The Enforcement Team plays a vital role in delivering the councilsobjectivesand shaping publicperceptionthrough its direct impact on local communities. Working in partnership with organisations such as the Police, Environment Agency, courts, community groups, and internal services, the team helps improve quality of life for Wiltshire residents. This is a hands-on, field-based role where no two days are the same youwill deploy and manage overt and covert surveillance cameras in line with legislation, helping tomonitorhigh-risk locations and gather crucial evidence. Attending incident scenes, youwill assess, document, and photograph environmental crime, carrying out basic waste examinations toidentifyinvestigative leads. Working closely with Enforcement Officers, youwill support live investigations by securing evidence,maintainingaccuraterecords, and producing clear reportsas well ascoordinatingthe clearance of waste, liaising with contractors and partners to ensure swift and effective resolution. Strong communicationskills are key, as youwill engage with landowners, businesses, and partner agenciesoffering advice and helping to prevent further offences.
