Overview
I’m working with a genuinely impressive AI engineering company building advanced systems within the Defence, Security and National Resilience space. Their engineering team is small, highly capable and intentionally low on bureaucracy. They are looking for Senior Software Engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical problems and want genuine ownership over what they build.
Responsibilities
Engineers here contribute across distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, deployment, platform engineering, agent frameworks and multimodal data environments. The focus is on building robust, scalable systems that operate across cloud, edge and air‑gapped environments.
Technologies & Qualifications
- Core technologies: Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres, React, Golang and modern cloud platforms.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and adaptability are valued over perfect stack alignment.
- Prior Defence experience is not required; startup, product or modern platform engineering backgrounds are particularly strong fit.
Work Environment
Hybrid working from a Central London office, typically three days per week. The culture is heavily AI‑assisted, with active use of tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex to remove low-value work and move faster while maintaining high engineering standards.
