The Occupational Health Department of Nottingham University Hospitals is looking to recruit a suitably experienced registered nurse with current UK NMC registration to join our established nursing team.

Main Duties

Key elements of the role:

  • Fitness for work assessments.
  • Workplace immunity assessments.
  • Management of sharps and contamination incidents.
  • Support the promotion of workplace health initiatives.
  • Participate in departmental clinical audit and service development work.
  • Excellent IT skills for a paper‑light department; ability to communicate with clients face‑to‑face and virtually (telephone and email).
  • Work from our department based at Queen’s Medical Centre and City Hospital Campus; willingness to travel to occasional external clinic locations.
  • Occupational health experience would be an advantage; training will be provided.

The Occupational Health Team is part of the Corporate HR department and is comprised of a multidisciplinary team. We are a SEQOHS accredited service comprising a team of Occupational Health Doctors (Consultants & Registrars), specialist nurses, nurse advisors, occupational health technicians and counsellors all supported by a team of medical administrators. In addition to the services we provide to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, we also provide Occupational Health services to a number of other NHS trusts and to a number of private companies in the region.
