Senior Platform Engineer

About the Company

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale Azure-based platform infrastructure. This is a hands‑on engineering role, focused on building environments from scratch, not just maintaining existing systems.

You will join an in‑house platform team, working with minimal reliance on third‑party vendors, enabling full ownership of platform engineering and delivery.

About the Role

• Duration: 6 months (rolling, with potential extension or permanent conversion)
• Start Date: 1–2 weeks
• Design and build an Azure‑based cloud platform infrastructure
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
• Work across Azure PaaS and IaaS services
• Build and support containerised platforms (AKS / Azure Container Apps)
• Contribute to system design and architectural decisions
• Ensure scalability, performance optimisation, and security best practices
• Enable internal teams through a self‑service platform approach

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Azure platform engineering
• Proven hands‑on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) Including modular, enterprise‑grade implementations
• Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions
• Experience working with Azure PaaS and IaaS services
• Demonstrated experience building platforms/environments from scratch
• Strong understanding of:
• Scalability and performance tuning
• Cloud security principles
• Experience with container platforms (AKS, Azure Container Apps)

DevOps & Infrastructure

• Terraform (modular, enterprise-level usage)
