Senior Finance Manager – Technical Operations

Role and Responsibilities
Lead finance partnering for Total Logistics (freight, warehousing, and distribution) and Technical Operations Opex, providing influential support and insight across Supply Chain and Tech Ops.
Own and continuously improve the Total Logistics cost‑to‑serve framework, including service/cost trade‑offs, key cost drivers, and decision‑support insights.
Lead Tech Ops Opex management and governance, ensuring clear ownership, robust financial controls, and proactive identification of risks and opportunities.
Partner with Supply Chain on demand and supply planning (S&OP), delivering forward‑looking cost and service insights to inform business actions.
Provide financial leadership for Tech Ops and Total Logistics projects and business cases, including 4PL integration and optimisation, with strong governance and benefits‑realisation tracking.
Own forecasting and budgeting cycles for Tech Ops Opex and Total Logistics, including rolling forecasts, Original Budget (OB), Mid‑Year Estimate (MYE), and Year‑End Estimate (YEE).
Deliver monthly performance reporting, including insightful variance analysis, clear narratives, recommendations, and executive‑level updates that drive action.
Manage financial interactions with external logistics partners (e.g., 4PLs and service providers), including performance reviews, contract and commercial support, invoice governance, and transparency of cost and savings delivery.
What you’ll bring
Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Strong experience in FP&A, Opex management, and business partnering, ideally within supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or technical operations environments.
Proven track record of cost‑to‑serve modelling, financial governance, and supporting strategic business decisions.
Experience developing and evaluating business cases and large‑scale transformation or optimisation projects.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders with clear, concise financial insights and recommendations.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Proactive, confident, and outcomes‑focused, with a collaborative working style.
Experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or regulated environments is advantageous but not essential.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
