Salaried GP

Overview

Mid Sussex Health Care seeks an enthusiastic salaried GP for a fixed‑term contract until April 2027 with 6 sessions per week on a 22 000‑patient list.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑standard care to registered and temporary patients.
• Conduct telephone and face‑to‑face consultations and triage.
• Prescribe and manage repeat prescriptions using the practice formulary.
• Complete clinical and non‑clinical administrative duties promptly.
• Adopt professional, autonomous decision‑making for presenting problems.
• Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
• Provide counselling, health education and referral to other care providers as appropriate.
• Maintain clear, contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
• Participate in BMA safe working guidance and specialist interest development where possible.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or longer‑qualified GP.
• Competent in SystmOne clinical system.
• Prescribing and clinical admin experience aligned with practice protocols.
