At Nexperia Manchester we are expanding our Semiconductor Process Engineering team. As a Senior Staff Engineer in Diffusion Process Engineering technologies, you will lead key continuous improvement projects, manage escalated sustainment issues, and drive wafer output, yield improvement, cost reduction and overall process capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical improvement projects focused on yield, cost, throughput, ease of manufacture and process capability.
- Support new product and platform development through process development activities.
- Sustain and improve mechanical and electrical yields to meet departmental targets.
- Monitor and improve Cpk levels across all processes, including coordinating R&R studies on metrology equipment.
- Ensure process performance is reviewed, tracked and reported in line with factory policy.
- Generate and maintain accurate Wafer Fab Operator Instructions.
- Ensure full adherence to departmental procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Semiconductor Industry experience as a Process Engineer, ideally with diffusion/furnacing experience.
- HND or Degree in a relevant STEM discipline (degree preferred).
- Project management experience.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Great priority management and the ability to work in high‑pressure environments.
- Competent with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to work a shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off, 12 hours per day.
- Desirable: Experience in Diffusion Furnacing Technologies.
