This is an exciting opportunity for a creative culinary professional who combines technical expertise with artistry, delivering exquisite desserts that elevate the guest experience.As Pastry Sous Chef , you will work closely with the Pastry Chef to lead the pastry team, ensuring consistency, quality and innovation in all products. You will take a hands-on approach to preparation, inspire and develop the team, and uphold the highest standards of hygiene, presentation and flavour expected within a luxury hospitality environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the daily operation of the pastry kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient serviceLead by example through hands-on preparation, baking and presentation of high-quality pastries and dessertsSupervise and coordinate the activities of pastry chefs, cooks and kitchen associatesDrive creativity by developing new recipes, seasonal menus and artistic presentationsEnsure consistency in taste, quality and visual presentation across all pastry offeringsMaintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation and hygiene standardsMonitor food preparation, storage and handling processes in line with company and legal requirementsSupport inventory management, purchasing and cost control to meet budget targetsTrain, coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvementAssist with recruitment, onboarding and performance management of pastry team membersMaintain effective communication within the kitchen and with other departmentsEnsure all guest expectations are met with attention to detail and personalised presentationIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and enhance product qualityCore CompetenciesWe are seeking a creative and driven culinary professional who brings passion, precision and a strong leadership presence.
