Consultant in Elderly Care Medicine

Overview

Now is a really exciting time to join our team of forward‑thinking Ageing & Complex Medicine (Elderly Medicine) Consultants at Wrightington Wigan and Leigh (WWL) NHS Foundation Trust and make a real difference to elderly patients in the Wigan Borough.

Responsibilities

• Provide general medicine care for elderly patients, including in‑patient and out‑patient services.
• Commit to night and weekend on‑call duties in general medicine and as part of the day service.
• Build and develop a sub‑specialty interest within Elderly Care, supported by clinical director and divisional management through in‑house training and relevant CPD activities.
