Position Overview
Moog Aircraft Group is looking for a Site Supply Chain Manager. You will be a key member of the Military Aircraft Group at our facility in Wolverhampton within the Supply Chain and Purchasing Team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director. In this role you will ensure supplier-facing supply chain effectiveness, coordinate cross‑regional supply and supplier integration, and support site needs across Indirect/Direct Sourcing Categories, Supplier Quality, Strategic Sourcing Strategies, and New Product Introduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure customer needs are met by coordinating and communicating with the wider Supply Chain organization and collaborating with Operations, Quality, Engineering and other functions to ensure material and service availability on demand.
- Determine and communicate site priorities to the Site Supply Chain Director and the rest of the organisation.
- Represent the Site in sales, inventory and operations planning processes.
- Oversee placement of POs in accordance with terms, conditions, contractual and regulatory flow‑downs, and Moog processes.
- Ensure appropriate upstream supplier integration (e.g., demand visibility, lean/flow materials management, procurement automation) and coordinate with site operations, planning and logistics.
- Monitor obsolescence management to minimise supply disruptions and cost impact.
- Represent the Supply Chain department at site leadership reviews, customer and process audits and assessments.
Key Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Material Management, Engineering or a related field with over 7 years of progressive experience in supply‑chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Over 5 years in a supervisory or management position.
- Strong team leadership and people‑management skills.
- Strategic perspective with long lead‑time and high technical challenge for suppliers, demanding forward thinking.
- Organised, goal‑oriented, and capable of working with minimum supervision, solving problems with imagination and resourcefulness.
- Rapidly familiarise with major customers, products, manufacturing processes and suppliers.
- Willingness to travel to suppliers and customers where appropriate.
Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained. If clearance cannot be obtained, the role may be deemed ineligible or an offer may be withdrawn on national security grounds.
