Configuration Management Specialist

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defense industries, is recruiting a Integrated Management System Auditor (IMSA) to join our IMS Compliance team.

Role Overview

As a Configuration Management Specialist based at our Gloucester sites, you will support the IMS Compliance team by ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across our IMS system.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage configuration and change request systems.
• Assess engineering change data and support change query resolution.
• Analyse and process PRs, ECRs, and ECNs through the Change Control process in line with Ontic procedures.
• Maintain data repositories and ensure released data accurately reflects Windchill records.
• Organise and chair Change Control Board meetings, including TRB and CIB reviews.
• Coordinate effective review and approval of ECRs and ECNs with wider cross‑functional teams.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and provide feedback to process owners.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure effective configuration management practices.

Qualifications

• Experience within change control, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong data management and administrative capability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confidence working with technical systems and engineering data.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to manage priorities independently.

Desirable

• CM2 qualification.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Experience using Windchill or similar PLM systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
