Role Overview

Responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality, patient‑facing care to detainees in custody suites in collaboration with the police, ensuring safety and well‑being.

Work under pressure and manage diverse clinical situations effectively.

Maintain flexibility to work across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area, as well as in your base custody suite.

Working Conditions

Part‑time fixed shift work: Day shifts 06:45 to 19:00, night shifts 18:45 to 07:00.

Team rota pattern of 2 days on, 8 days off, 2 nights, 4 days off; rolling rota available 2 years in advance.

Full shifts required for part‑time employees, with some night shifts. Patterns agreed with the customer.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary £20,500 per year

Qualifications

  • RN, RGN or RMN with dual registration, minimum 2 years post‑qualification and Band 5 experience
  • Paramedic, minimum 2 years post‑qualification
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Right to work in the UK (British passport or ILR for 3 years, no gaps out of country >3 months)
  • Subject to Police vetting
