Food Safety Officer

Oyster Partnership is working with a well-regarded London Borough looking to bring in a Food Safety Officer to support their Environmental Health team.

The Role

You will be carrying out food hygiene inspections across the borough, helping maintain standards and protect public health.

This is a straightforward, delivery-focused role where you will:

• Undertake food safety inspections
• Complete around 10 to 12 inspections per week
• Report on findings and ensure compliance with legislation
• Engage with businesses in a professional and practical way

You will be joining a team with a clear structure and realistic expectations.

What You Need

• Fully qualified Environmental Health Officer, or
• An experienced Food Safety Officer

You must have:

• Up to date CPD
• Relevant food safety competencies
• Recent experience carrying out inspections

The Offer

• £55 per hour – strong, competitive rate
• Initial 6 month contract with likely extension
• Hybrid working
• Manageable weekly inspection targets
