Dental Technician – Orthodontic or Prosthetic

About the Role

A leading dental laboratory west of Carlisle is expanding its specialist splint department and is seeking a skilled and motivated Orthodontic Technician or Prosthetic Technician. Position Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and manufacture of a variety of dental splints and appliances, such as:

• Michigan/TMJ splints
• Soft and hard bite-raising appliances
• Bleaching trays
• Retainers and other orthodontic appliances (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication of high-quality dental splints and related appliances
• Accurate model preparation using both digital and analogue workflows
• Ensuring all work aligns with clinical prescriptions and internal quality standards
• Collaborating with colleagues and clinicians to achieve the best outcomes
• Maintaining an organised and hygienic workspace

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Orthodontic Technician or Prosthetic Technician (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in splint fabrication is desirable, though full training can be provided
• Excellent attention to detail and strong manual dexterity
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to develop new skills
