At Sense, we don’t just provide care – we champion independence, and we’re looking for Relief Support Workers to join our team at Sense Otterhayes in Ottery St Mary, Devon. This is a casual relief role at £13 per hour, with various hours available.

Sense Otterhayes is rated ‘Good’ by the CQC and is a place built on connection. We support people across seven supported living properties and a residential home, with unique shared spaces including a polytunnel, an art room, and a creative studio; where no one is left out of life.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting with daily routines, personal care, and medication
  • Accompanying people on trips, outings, and holidays
  • Enabling people to enjoy creative activities such as drama, art, and gardening
  • Supporting people with their social lives, friendships, and employment

Shifts are available across a range of patterns Monday to Sunday, so flexibility is key. Due to our rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are highly desirable. Free parking is available on site.

Qualifications

  • Be warm, reliable, and flexible
  • Be comfortable supporting people with a range of needs
  • Be resilient and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Be willing to attend training to support you in your role
